How it works

Not exercises. Missions.

You don’t “do exercise 4”. You answer a phone call, question a suspect, order lunch or say a spell. Each grammar point lives inside a situation where it really matters.

1

Step into the story

Voiced characters, hand-drawn scenes and real choices. Take the taxi or the night bus? Each decision changes what happens next.

2

Solve it with language

Listen, choose, fill gaps, build sentences, spell the lock, follow directions on a map. Every wrong answer explains why.

Keep what you learn

Every new word goes into your Notebook and comes back in the Word Lab, timed so it moves into long-term memory.

The Storybook Library

Six picture-book adventures, opened and closed by Professor Hoot 🦉. Finish a book to win its sticker for the shelf.

  • 🖼️ Picture cards — answers are pictures, not words.
  • 🤸 Action games — “Jump! Duck! Be quiet!”
  • 🎵 Chants & rhymes rebuilt as word puzzles.
  • 🔤 Phonics & letter sounds — hear it, find it, spell it.
  • 💛 Kindness choices — even the Big Bad Wolf just wants a friend.

Why it works

Built like a game. Designed like a course.

🎙️

Real voices

Every character has a voice, with a 🐢 slow mode for listening practice.

💡

Mistakes that teach

Wrong answers explain the rule. Right answers add a short tip.

🧠

Spaced repetition

The Word Lab brings back your weakest words first, until they stick.

♟️

Strategy, not drills

Hearts, coins, gadgets and branching choices make you think ahead.

📈

A1 to C2

Grammar grows mission by mission, from “to be” to inversion and register.

FAQ

Questions parents and learners ask

Who is Languest for?

Children from about 5 (the Storybook Library) up to adults preparing for advanced exams. Each mission shows its level, from A1 (beginner) to C2 (mastery).

Do I need to install anything or create an account?

No. Languest runs in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer. You can add it to your home screen like an app, and your progress saves automatically on the device.

Which languages can I learn?

Start with English — a complete course from first words to advanced. More languages are available inside the app, and we keep adding new ones. Every course uses the same story missions, voices and Word Lab.

I’m a complete beginner. Where do I start?

Choose “Just starting” when the game asks your level, and it suggests the right first mission. Menus and explanations are in plain English, every new word can be tapped to hear it and see its meaning, and mistakes always come with a helpful explanation.

I already know some of the language. Do I have to start from zero?

No. Take the 2-minute placement test (or pick your level) and every mission at your level opens straight away.

Is it safe for my child?

There are no ads, no chats, no accounts and no tracking. A grown-up check appears before any purchase. Read our privacy policy.

What does the Full Pass include?

Every mission in every language, including the missions and languages we add later during your pass. One pass works for your household on up to 5 devices.

Does it work offline?

Once you have opened Languest, most of the game keeps working without an internet connection. Recorded voices are saved the first time you hear them.

How do I get a refund?

Write to us within 14 days of your purchase and we’ll refund you in full. See the terms.
